Manufacturing MES and Production Costing System

The challenge

A metal-fabrication manufacturer managed production on paper work tickets and Excel. Piece-rate wages were calculated manually, stock was reconciled monthly and management could not compare standard BOM cost with actual material cost.

Integration and delivery

The system digitised existing production and finance rules instead of requiring the factory to abandon familiar Excel-based inputs immediately. Structured records made material, labour and production data available for consistent reporting.

Technology

Python, Django, MySQL, Django Admin, openpyxl, pandas and OCR-based document processing.
